Carbon Reduction Plan: Commitment to Net Zero by 2040

1. Introduction: CIH Solutions Ltd. recognises the urgent need for environmental stewardship and is committed to addressing climate change. This Carbon Reduction Plan outlines our commitment to achieving Net Zero emissions by 2040. Our carbon reduction efforts’ baseline year is from January 2023 to December 2023.

2. Baseline Assessment: During the baseline year (2023), CIHS conducted a thorough assessment of its carbon footprint, taking into account Scope 1, Scope 2, and Scope 3 emissions. While some estimations were necessary, efforts were made to ensure accuracy and a commitment to improving data precision in the coming years.

  • Scope 1 Emissions:

    • Identified and measured direct emissions from owned or controlled sources, including company-owned vehicles and on-site energy generation.

    • Implemented monitoring systems for accurate data collection while acknowledging that further refinement is needed for more precise measurements.

  • Scope 2 Emissions:

    • Evaluated indirect emissions from the generation of purchased electricity, heat, or steam.

    • Collaborated with energy providers to obtain accurate data on energy consumption and emissions, with a commitment to invest in technologies that enhance measurement precision.

  • Scope 3 Emissions:

    • Assessed indirect emissions from the value chain, including both upstream and downstream activities.

    • Engaged with key suppliers to collect data on their emissions, recognising the need for improved methodologies and increased transparency in the future.

3. Carbon Reduction Targets: CIHS has set ambitious carbon reduction targets to align with the commitment to achieving Net Zero by 2040. Targets are categorised into short-term, medium-term, and long-term objectives.

  • Short-term Targets (2023-2025):
    • Implement energy-efficient measures to achieve a 10% reduction in Scope 1 emissions.
    • Invest in renewable energy sources to cover at least 20% of the company’s total energy consumption, contributing to a reduction in Scope 2 emissions.
    • Collaborate with the top 30 suppliers to establish emission reduction goals within the supply chain.
  • Medium-term Targets (2026-2030):

    • Achieve a 25% reduction in Scope 1 emissions by adopting low-carbon technologies and practices.

    • Increase the share of renewable energy in total energy consumption to 40%.

    • Expand the scope of supply chain engagement to include the top 50 suppliers.

  • Long-term Targets (2031-2040):

    • Achieve Net Zero emissions by 2040 through a combination of emission reduction measures, investments in carbon offset projects, and technological innovation.

    • Advocate for industry-wide adoption of sustainable practices and contribute to systemic change.

4. Monitoring and Reporting: CIHS is committed to transparently reporting progress towards our carbon reduction targets. Regular assessments will be conducted, and refinements in measurement methodologies will be implemented to enhance accuracy.

5. Employee Engagement: Promote a culture of sustainability within the organisation by educating and engaging employees. Encourage the adoption of sustainable practices in daily operations and provide training on reducing individual carbon footprints.

6. Innovation and Technology: Leverage CIHS’s expertise in software integration to develop and implement innovative solutions that reduce the environmental impact of IT services and enterprise management.

7. Continuous Improvement: CIHS will regularly review and update the Carbon Reduction Plan to incorporate emerging best practices, technologies, and industry standards. The company is committed to continuously improving sustainability efforts across all business operations.
CIH Solutions Ltd. is dedicated to leading the way in sustainable business practices, contributing to a carbon-neutral future, and ensuring a positive environmental and societal impact.
